Spreading smiles on the faces of the needy is what has become the rarest and is the need of the hour in today’s fast moving world and so, we have come across from different parts of the world and have joined hands for a cause so gentle since As per the rules of the Maharashtra Board , it is compulsory to have transparent writing pads and pouches for the students to enter the examination halls.
Joyful Gifting - initiated by Venkatraman Krishnamoorthy, Chartered Accountant – popularly known as the ‘Pencil man of UAE’ a Guinness world record holder for the largest collection of school supplies for charity in 24 hours and Pagaria Welfare Foundation a NGO in Navi Mumbai led by Vaidhei Pagaria a Chartered Accountant along with Lata Srinivasan , Pushpa Subramanian , Ruchi Agarwal, Vaishali Shah, Atul Patil with such enthusiast people started the project called as ‘Happy Pariksha’ .
This project was centered on providing transparent pouches, writing pads, geometry kits and pens to the needy students appearing for their board exams this year from the remote interior schools in urban and rural areas around Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and also villages in Maharashtra.
Such kits were distributed to 1000 Students in 16 Different Schools and in 10 different locations from Deregaon , Alibaug , Turbhe , Jhakhangaon , Goregaon etc in the month of January and February 2020 .
Such kits were contributed by raising funds from friends and family a contribution for Pariksha Kit per Student at 500 rupees for 5 students by Joyful Gifting . Students were also given tips and motivation for their upcoming board exams and our effort to make this exam mood Happy was truly visible on the faces of students.
By Joyful gifting bring smiles to needy children is what we aimed with this small project and we shall be continuing to come up with various projects for the benefit of the society .
